Handmade Coasters

I've been a very good girl and have been resting my sore arm. I have not knit or crochet this whole week. But as you know, I have a weakness for small, quick projects. This time it's Criss-Cross Coasters and it's sewn. (I told you I've been good.) I took my time and did it over three nights; just working on it for less than an hour so that I don't over strain my arm again. I must say I really enjoyed forcing myself to slow down and to just take my time - just staying in the moment and enjoying the process.

I used the fabric that Teresa gave me as a gift a while ago. There are elephants on the pink fabric and cats on the grey one. The colours and animal theme go really well together. It's such a simple project to brush up on some basic sewing skills. I was going to give them away as a housewarming gift, but Richard really likes them and so we're keeping it for ourselves. *Grins*

Tip: I finished off by using starch spray when ironing the coasters. This makes the coasters smooth and stiff.

Beautiful coasters. I love it.
Hope your hand is getting better. How about physiotherapy? It might help.
I enjoy your blog btw.

Thank you, S! I'm glad you enjoy my blog :D It's so nice to hear feedback like that.

And about my hand, I have seen my osteopath and I've been stretching it as he recommended, The best long term solution I think is to improve on my knitting techniques and to do knit in moderation. :P
