Lest We Forget

In the spirit of Anzac Day, I baked Anzac biscuits to share with Richard's family. Anzac biscuits were baked by loving family back home and sent to Anzac soldiers overseas. It doesn't use eggs because eggs were too expensive during the war. It makes me reflect all the war stories my grandparents told me and the hardship they went through.

This year I have been deeply moved by Anzac Day and my thoughts go to the bravery of young soldiers worldwide fighting in past and recent wars. In Singapore, we do not remember our hard past and just take for granted what we have now. It was the brave Anzac (Australian and NZ Army Corps) soldiers that fought against the Japanese and suffered in Changi Prison. Lest we forget all the soldiers that have fought bravely for our freedom. Peace on earth.
